    Unproven commercial software

    I wonder how the author can expect to sell "DVDSplit", which is available at the DVD Digest downloads page. It is being offered as a commercial product at a price of $25.

    One would expect that such a product, which competes with freeware, would at least be offered on a "try before you buy" timed trial basis - so that users would be able to determine that the product "works as advertised'...

    According to the doom9 website dvdsplit is just a "stripped down" version of IFOEDIT and made by the same guy A trial would have been nice though. However IFOEDIT is still freeware and it can also be used to split dvd's.

      You are essentially repeating one of my points, young crimefighter. If someone wants to SELL a product that is similar to existing freeware, the author should provide a means for potential buyers to determine whether there's any benefit (versus the freeware) to purchasing it...

        I agree with you. Just wanted to let you know that freeware is available that can split dvd's. I'll convey your regards to Alfred and Robin. You should drop by the batcave sometimes
