We all know of this whole p2p vs. riaa/mpaa situation. illegal copywritten mateiral vs. downloading stuff from the net.

i'm asking you - where is the compromise? what do U suggest, how to solve this problem, so that every1 is, at least a little, satisfied.

well the riaa will NEVER be satisfied with a compromise, so they wont stop until they LOSE

but for some info, theyre already somewhat "backing down" because now i read over at www.zeropaid.com that they are only targeting the users who "share substantial amounts". gee, wway to turn around there from getting "anyone, from anywhere".

i think it would be physically impossible to hit every single person who ever downloaded at least one illegal mp3 file. the number of such users may as well go to half a billion.
doing a little mathematix shows that if there were 100 agents simultaneously working non stop on 1 user per 0,5h - then it would take over 285 years to check all 500mln users.

Any good attorney will tell you you don't walk in the door saying , "I wanna compromise." The other team then feels embolden and makes their demands more firm...and the adjudicating party starts to doubt the merit of your case. You go in their with both barrels cocked and stand firm. What happens is always a compromise...but that's just because judge gets tired of the impasses...and the longer you can hold out the tireder the other side gets too. Hold out.
