Apple warrentee sucks

I have owned 8 apple computers sequentially since 1990. I have never purchased a competitor.
I bought a 15 inch Power Book a year ago and both the video board and the DVD player went bad. The power cord and the batteries also went bad.
I bought a $350 extended apple care warrantee and sent my machine in. They would not repair it because the "titanium" (actually fragile brushed aluminum) casing had some scratches and dents on it and they claimed I abused the machine.
Yes, it fell once from the front seat of my car to a carpeted floor 14 inches below. Normal wear and tear for a Dell, or HP or anyone else.
They now want me to pay $975 for the repair despite the extended warrantee that I bought. My total investment is now $1,800 for the device initially, $350 for the warrantee and $975 for repairs not covered by the warrantee. (Oer $3,000 !)
If anyone knows a method of getting this greivance dealt with I would love to hear from them. In the meantime.....
