I would like to say...I realy enjoy reading this thread. You guys do a realy good job with the Forum and the information here.
I myself agree, that Piracy is stealing.
I also beleive that If I purchase something, I have a right to do with it as I see fit. Keeping Patent rights in mind also know as copy rights. Im my opinion they are one and the same...Basicly.
Now Im not proficiant in the leagal matters of this issue but I do beleive that the owner of the media has a right to one copy.
In my opinion, and I do this,... If I buy a dvd and I think it its a good one I will make a copy of it and give it to my dad and sister. If they buy one and I want a copy of it I will make a copy of it also. I do not sell the media, I do not publish the media. I honestly think that this issue has been exploited by both sides of this issue. To be honest this did not become an issue untill dvd burners came out. Why didnt they bitch when people were making copys with VHS tapes and cassett tapes?...... Its the same media just a different format....Thanks...and cool site!!!Comment
