My cell phone is another story... I got 2 hilarious calls... one from a drunken man at 4AM calling someone... poor fellow

And the other from an 80 year old lady saying something like "Elaine can you pick me up", and repeated it a couple of times.

well you let them say a word or two soup. sometimes that does happen. i get these drunken broads all the time calling just liquored beyond belief asking for people. it can drive a person to insanity!

This was on my voicemail, so no way to answer, and I am too lazy to call back. I was bored while voulenteering with a clothing drive one day and I decided to check my voicemail... wow.

Population wise yeah but size wise we are huge! And we do have a do not call list here...I had the misfourtue of being a telemarketer myself about 15 years ago...and if you say don't call they cannot call back...and ifyou phone the phone company and say you don't want telemarker calls they log that and send out lists so we can do it most just don't know it...

We were getting bombarded for a time. I phoned the telephone ombusdsman, who directed me to some website where I could opt out of everything at once (that originated in Australia). I rather warily typed in my real name, address and phone number and I must say the volume has dropped to a trickle.

Those Andy Roomey ideas have been floating aorund for a while and are also good.

Most of you guys won't remember way back when you got your first computer. Now this is not like I was blind going in, I had heard & read not to trust. I forget what it was now but I am registering for something & I decide finally not to do it. So I go backspace over what I put in figuring that's that, wrong. It was instant e-mail flooding in. Lucky for me this e-mail was on another system not on my home & I check it every once in a while. It has also slowed to a trickle but lesson learned nearly in a really hard way.
