It's something I feared and was VERY disappointed. I moved into a home with "Direct TV". I noticed a nice CRT Sony looked considerably blocky on lets say everything. I hooked up the big screen Sony and of course it only looked worse. How much are these guys compressing? I have my own encoders and my own feeds that come from the downlinks from all the major services. They look acceptable on all of my TVs. I have most types of TVs available. I'm a professional Engineer with 23 years of Video experience. I never realized how much BETTER Digital cable IS!!!!!!!!!
