Simple question...
why not add the codec to a video file (DivX, MPEG1, MPEG2, etc)
so that you always have the required codec.
The video file is huge compared to the codec so not much overhead there.
The only thing then is you need a machine (player or computer)
that understands that the codec is attached.
Wouldn't this make the need to specific codec machines obsolete.
No more DVD, VCD, SVCD specific mahines
This may be a rookie mistake but it sounds reasonable to me.
Am I crazy or does this make sense?
