IFO Edit files failing Nero Validation

When I try and burn a DVD using Nero 5.5 from a set of files produced by Ifoedit 0.94 , Nero refuses to do so reporting that the file set has failed validation. What should I check?

did you test it on your PC?

you need to check out your setting in NERO
is it nero 5.5.8.2 or above?

      Thanks

Had a look at the guides - good stuff!

I don't think that Nero is the problem. I'm using 5.5.9.14 and it burns a set of files created via Spruceup. The message that Nero reports with files generated by Ifoedit is that there is a file reallocation error and the file size is not a multiple of the sector size.

Neo does let you continue the burn, warning you the DVD may not play.

I chose to continue the burn, and the DVD played fine on my Apex player.

However, there probably is a bug in IfoEdit, and it may affect playability on some players.

          Work around:

Open your set of files again in IfoEdit. Strip streams into a new directory but don't strip any streams. Set it to copy the menus over too.

This will force a rewrite of the VOB files, and the new VOBs will have no errors with Nero.

            Thanks

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I'm not sure I fully understand, but it may be clearer once of got the user interface in front of me. The DVD's that I burnt with the files in error play OK on the PC but not on my Samsung 511 (which only plays nome burnt disks for 10 minutes then skips, but thats another issue altogether.....)
