To alicia
Perhaps your problem lies with the version of DVD Decrypter you are using. One of the fairly recent versions copied the .VOBs to the hard drive with slightly altered names. In your example, did you check the hard drive to meake CERTAIN that the .VOB was, in fact, named "VTS_01_1.VOB"?
If this proves to be the case, the latest version (I believe it's 313) eliminates this situation. Alternatively, you can simply rename the .VOB to the correct "VTS_01_1.VOB".
Let us know of your success ;>}Comment

Ah Alicia
Sorry ignore my last post, I have just read the post where you had describes everything. And I know what the problem is, or at least I hope this is what it is.
You have pressed the VOB Extras and selected all the stuff you want, i.e. VOB ID,s and the sound, BUT!!! the destination Directory where you have C:\Video_ts, have you made this directory first on your c drive? the directory has to be there, IFOEdit will n ot make the Directory.
Open up your C drive and right click anywhere and select new and then folder, call this folder VIDEO_TS, then go back to IFOEdit and in the destination address, browse to the dir C:\VIDEO_TS and select that.Comment

well rempeg froze up on me, 1 question, does the rempeg put out an ac3 file because it froze up on 99% and wouldn't do any more, so I am trying to reload the m2v file to finish up,
and on the quality of star wars ep 2 I got about 65% quality, still looks pretty goodComment

Re
No, rempeg makes an *.m2v file, which is just the video, not the sound, so you use this file to re-mux back onto the original file, and it ocer writes the original video, so you keep the same audio, i.e.ac3 or Dolby Digital, and have a lower bitrate video file.
I am still encodeing SW episode2 with 4 hours left, takes me about 14h to do.
The last film I did today, (A beautiful Mind) re-encoded, but after it got to 99% stopped, so I cancelled it, and re-encoded it to the original film, and it seemed OK.
Cant help with the disc's, as I live in the UK, but I work for a company based in HoustonComment

i'll keep playin with it till it works, i screwed up somewhere and got too many ifo files,
when stripping the audio do i goto the vobid in ifoedit that corresponds to the original movie on the disc, like if the movie was in the 4th vob section, then strip from the vobid 4Comment

Re
Rempeg stoped at 99% on me, but all I do is close it anyway, and remux the file with the original that was ripped.
I have done that and now got a folder containing all the files, but the folder is only 3.90 Gb, which is OK, but what I want to do, is get the compleate movie onto the 1 DVD-R containing all the menus and extras, I can do it to fit onto one with the main movie, or fit the lot onto 2 dvd's, but It would be better if I could get the lot onto one dvd.Comment

alicia: i had a little trouble also, all the cffl file is (as i get it) is a notepad that is renamed to cffl(i don't know what it means) but it is a list to let rempeg know what files to reencode, so copy the names of the vob's exactly like swanside typed them (remember to use the vob #'s that u ripped with dvd decrypter, oh and make sure u type the cffl in capitals, then open rempeg and open the movie cffl file. hope i helped a bit
