PS2 & DVD Backup

i've just bought a ricoh mp5210a-dp dvd+rw drive

now i can back up from an original ps2 disc for use in my car but if i try to back up a dvd-r disc it says ive not enough disc space! the file size on some of the discs is only 2 - 3 gig! and they wont work if i rip it to the hard drive first!

next im wanting to back up my dvds for use in the car! ive tried a disc copy and ripping the film and play back is like watching sky tv when it rains hard!

what am i doing wrong?

You just forgot to read a little bit before asking!

There are plenty of place to check to backup DVD on DVD-R

ive now sorted out how to do dvd back ups!

still got a prob with ps2! a can do a disc to disc copy from a proper disc! ive got some back up discs from someone and my ps2 wont read them right (laser probs) the disc with the game on is a dvd-r and im wanting to copy it onto a +rw that workss in my ps2! the prob been i cant do a disc to disc because the disc size is to small! the game is only 2.5 gig but when i try and copy its saying 2-3mb over the +rw limit! ive tried to rip to the h/d first then onto disc but it wont work!

any one tried this please help
