    Burning to DVR-A03

    Hi,

Does anyone have any info on this little teaser.....

I can burn movie files (over 1 gig each) onto the DVR-A03 and play them back perfectly on the same drive through Windows Media Player.

The problem I have is when I come to play them through my laptop with a Torisan DRD-U824 drive, I get a playback error with any movie over 1 gig. Anything less and the move plays fine.

Is this something to do with the UDF version on the laptop?

I think it's smething to do with the size of files but don't know how to get around it. The laptop runs windows ME.

This has been bugging me for ages ad i have to split my movies into chunks of <1gig (which is annoying)

    Anybody got any hints.........

    cheers
    C

might be an old drive that only supports the older UDF format. Are you storing them as DVD files (VOB)? or as normal files?
