    Problem Playing DVD

Hi i have been trying to make a DVD from an avi file. i have used meastro, dvdcomplete tmpgenc nero instantcd all of these programs at one time or another. but i still get the same result.

If i try to play it through powerdvd it comes up with the error FFFFFF
if i try to play it in windows media player it says "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a problem occurred with digital copyright protection."

if i put the disc in my DVD playre it just sounds like the laser is hitting the disc

Any ideas on what im doing wrong?

i have been writing the DVD onto a Re-Writable so i dont use a load of disc (luckily)

Taking a look at the doom9.org backup guides may be useful.
