    Cut Sceanes from a DVD

I want to cut out some scenes from a DVD and then regenerate a DVD to replay the movie from a stardard home DVD player.

All I care about is the movie in english.....

Which ripping software should I use?

How do I get the ripped movie files in a format that can be used by a program like Pinnacle Studio 8 or Adobe Premire for editing?

I belive they take either mpeg2 or AVI.

I know how to do the rest......

    Thanks....

The easy way is as follows:

    1. Use Dvd2Avi to create .d2v and .wav file from your dvd.
    2. Load .d2v file into TMPGenc. w/.wav file if your using sound from dvd
    3. Under stream type in tmpgenc make sure system{Video+Audio}
or system{Video Only} option is selected depending on whether or not u your using .wav also.
    4. Click setting button at bottom of screen and go to advanced tab.
    5. Check Source Range Box and double-click highlighted area.
    6. Use slider to select start and end points for your scene and cut
    editing option to cut it.
    7. After Scene selection click ok and then start encoding that portion to .mpg2 file.
    8. Load .mpg2 into authoring program of your choice.

    Hope This Helps

Use DVDDecrypter or SmartRipper to rip the ENTIRE DVD (NOT just "MOVIE") - and select which audiostream(s) you wish to include...
