Simple: burning a DVD

Simple question; I have downloaded movies in avi file format. I purchased a software called Sonic MyDVD. I thought I could simply burn the DVD's from my hard drive. When I use theMyDVD fuction "get movies,' I am able to load the file to the software but the burn button grays out. I have determined I need to convert these avi files to MPEG - OK - I downloaded the TMPGEnc software, and converted a movie to a MPEG (came out with extension M2V. I load that file into the MyDVD software, the picture is better from preview mode (Imust be getting somewhere!), but the burn button still does not work! The file is less than 4GB, so I have a small enough file - Can anyone help me?

Your question seems to boil down to, "How do I use Sonic My DVD?". I'd suggest you read the documentation that came with the purchased software and/or click on the "Help" dropdown menu from within the program...
