DVD authoring menu problem, Please HELP!

I ripped a 4.3gb movie using dvddecrypter,and either playing from hdd on computer or burned and played in home dvd player the movie as usual starts in the root menu but after the animated menu cycles once it automatically starts playing the movie without selecting a menu option.I figure this a rip problem thats causing this(besides ghost and demons in my house) .Hope this all makes sense,any thoughts?

1) Does the original DVD behave the same way?

2) What mode and method did you use to rip with DVD Decrypter?

I have never seen a dvd menu do this,but truthfully I dont have the master anymore to prove that.I have thought of testing that but I will have to try to get it again.

I used dvdecrypter in "file" mode with it selecting all dvd files(vob,ifo etc.) used nero to burn dvdr.

Since the above is exactly the correct procedure, I can only speculate that the original DVD behaved the same way (I won't ask, and please don't tell me, why you no longer have the original)...
