Help with WINDVD Creator Gold?
I downloaded many trial versions of editing software to use with my system. AMD 2000XP+, WIN98SE, Pinnacle PCTV PCI card, Sony DRU500a dvd burner.
I finnaly got an update to Studio 8 that makes it workable on my system. However, rendering takes 5 hours at least.
Before that update to Studio 8, I tried and downloaded WINDVD Creator Gold. That seems to work tolerably overall. Faster rendering too.
Creator has some bugs though. And support is really no help.
They tried to say "WIN98SE not supported", yet they say it is on their website. Now they say ok. But still no help with my problems.
The screen goes nuts while editing sometimes. I don't know why.
I have to stop the program or reboot. I could live with this if it saved projects correctly. It will save editing, but will not save menus correctly, so each time I author a video I just save in edit, and restart editing every time something happens, like the screen corrupting.
Another problem is recording with microphone function. It does NOT work. I hit the record button, it gives you the little countdown, goes for a few tenths of a second (but records nothing), then pops out of record. Again, support is no help.
Creator online support page is a complete joke.
Anyone use WinDVD Creator Gold? Any suggestions would be of value.
