Am I in the right place? not sure. ok, here goes:
I got a Hauppauge Nova-t terrestrial digital tv card and a NEC 1300 burner that came with Pinnalce software.
The Hauppauge supposedly records in mpeg2 format. It most certainly plays back in it's own app and also in InterVideo's WinDVD4 no problem but when I import to Pinnalce;
I have a two second lip sync error even in preview let alone when I burn, and
if I record a large, therefore mulit-part file, the first part when it goes to Pinnacle loses all but the last few seconds. I've tried this a few times and every time the same. A short file no problem, just the sync error but first part of a multi get's axed to a few seconds.
Setup is a P4 2.5GHz, 512RAM, Radeon7500 and WinXP. I've switched to 16-bit graphics and set the recording path to C:\ but no difference.
I looked up the details on Nero6 with a view to upgrade but something interesting cropped up. It says DVD burner required to record from ANALOGUE capture. Nova-t is digital video.
But isn't mpeg2 a standard?
Cheers, Steve.
