well thats possible but cant say for sure dont hav a dvd burner.

what u can do is make a one big mpeg/mpeg2 file and use that file to make ur dvd with menus so u can switch b/w episodes.
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

      Rand747,

yes, it can be done. you can fit up to 10 VCDs into 1DVD with Menus, chapters, etc... Here's what you need:

      1. VCDGear (not really needed, but helps to have)
      2. TMPGenc
      3. SpruceUp
      4. Nero or any burning program you have
      5. PowerDVD or any program that you can test it on your computer before you burn it out to disc.

That's it...Its' easy to do, but will takes a little time to do.
I have step by step guide on this too if you need it.

        To rand747

If I were you, I'd be extremely careful about someone posting ONLY alist of the software supposedly needed to accomplish your goal - while trying to lure you to another website for "how-to guides" (Rather than simply posting the "how-to" right here)

Use TMPG to encode the files in VCD format , then use TMPGenc DVD author to put them all on a DVD.

I have done this myself so I know it works.

            make vcd on dvd

I have a few mpg file (vcd mpg) instead of making 45 VCD's of 700MB, it would be nice to have like a lot les DVDs
i can fit up to 16 or 17 of my episodes on a dvd, as compared to 3 on a vcd

isnt there an easier solution than ulead or other apps that just reconvert and ruin the video?

does tmpgenc dvd author "re encode" the vids when making the DVD?

            thx in advance

MPEG1 VCD is already a compatible DVD format. It's not necessary to re-encode. It would be a waste of time, quality and disk space.
The only thing that needs to be changed is the audio sample rate from 44.1 khz to 48 khz.

                vcd to dvd

hum, well, thankx, actually, what I am looking for, is the MEANS to do it! without ruining the video.

I tried TMPGenc DVD Author, but I noticed differences in the original video when compared to the dvd it created.

Some apps just reconvert everything, some others dont want to do nothing. why can we just select "make video cd" in burning apps and why dont they les us burn it on a DVD

what is the difference? 4.7GB instead of 700MB. still would be a vcd

Because VCD is a different file format than DVD in terms of structure. As ashy already stated, "MPEG1 VCD is already a compatible DVD format", so you should just be able to drop the files into TMPGenc DVD Author. You can use a "new" track for each episode, and when you are done, you’ll have a nice DVD compilation.

Hi I've put VCD onto DVD with neoDVD Ver 5.0 It doesn't mess with the video quality. Gives you the option of titles, chapters and menu displays. Worked great on the first time I used it.

Will the compilation DVD work on stand-alone DVD player?

I don't use NeoDVD. I personally prefer "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (different from TMPGEnc).
