    TMPGEnc Aspect Ratio Question..

Does anyone know if Using "16:9 display" and "Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio)" the best choice for something that is 16:9?

    Well, it is 640(w) x 352(h).

Are those the settings I should use to encode to?

And will it keep the aspect ratio in-tact?

(I know it will get stretched a little because of the standard DVD ratio being at 720 x 480)

Thanks to anyone that can help!

Use 16:9 display and full screen settings to get it to make an anamorphic widescreen DVD, thats what I use for that it works great.

YAY! Thank you for responding to me! Finally Someone!

I get the 16:9 part, but the full screen part, there are a few different versions of full-screen I think. (Which is the exact name of the one you use?)

I tried "Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio)"
and it worked pretty good, but just wanted to know what you used, and if I was correct by using that setting to preserve the 16:9 ratio.

              Thanks Again!

The source aspect ratio is so close to 16:9 that you won't see much or any difference between them in that case. But I would use plain Full Screen so that it fills the 720x480 frame with no black bars at all. The original source was most likely 16:9 and was stretched to make that 640x352 file so getting back to exactly 16:9 would be best, thats what I do.
