Geeze...I just checked out an email from Pinnacle on Studio9...the Video/Audio restoration tools feature has caught my eye. It claims to be able to stabilize jittery video from those old VHS tapes that have demagnetized...automatically increase lighting for dimly lit video...and eliminate/reduce wind/camcorder background noise. This may be worth a look...

I bet it cleans heads on the VCR and replaces old belts and worn gears too...

        To rsquirell:

Will Studio9 work with "Any" type of capture device or is it proprietary with a specific one?

It's the thread that will not die!!!!!!!!!!!

Been working on a movie last nite, and the Capture froze at about one and a half hours in-the cursed "Delayed Write Error" arrggghhhhhh.
Anyway I had lowered the bitrate to 5K-reset it to 6K,and it worked the second time thru-
Not sure if that helped or it was a coincidence-anyway will try more transfer's at the "normal" 6K bitrate to see if it freezes at the recommended bitrate.

ormonde: ANY editor will capture an AVI external device ( though those devices are generally low quality video capturing at 320X240 through the USB port), and DV through the firewire ( and Pinnacle will convert the DV AVI to MPEG2 on the fly, just like ULead VS7). But MPEG2 capture devices are limited to the manufacturer's software for capture, which for Pinnacle is the box this thread's originator is using...and now, the DVC-150.
