splash movie before menu

How can I have a splash movie that displays after you insert the DVD? (ie: before the menu displays - like a Dolby animation you often see in commercial DVDs).

I'm using the cut down version of Sonic My DVD.

cant say for ur mydvd version but look for something similar.....

usually all editors have a option like always play as first video. by using that option the selected video will always play before menu.

Can you recommend any good freeware or shareware software that will do this?

yeah check TmpgEnc DVD Auther i think it has that option too, dont remember im not on my PC now.
