no sound on lion king 1.5 dvd

hi i compressed lion king 1.5 with dvdshrink 3.1 and there is no sound when i try to play in with powerdvd any reason as to why?

Lion King 1 1/2 has a DTS track. Does your surround sound receiver, if you have one, have the capability to play DTS sound?

good question im using soundmax sound card from my p4p800-deluxe mobo and 5.1 altec lansing speakers so i dont think so

I'm assuming that's the issue then. I just purchased the LK 1 1/2 myself a couple of days ago & when I ripped & reauthored the DVD to the HD, the DTS track was listed as track #1. When you first play the DVD, go into the setup options & change the audio to use the AC3 5.1 track.

hmm dunno how to change the audio to ac3 5.1. Do u think if i burn it. It will play in my ps2?

Did you make a full backup when you compressed the DVD? If so, play the DVD & skip past the trailers & get to the Menu Screen. Go into Setup & then click on Audio Options. The next screen will allow you to select English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. This is surprising. Usually DTS tracks are not the default audio track, but w/ LK 1 1/2 it is.

I take that back. DTS is not the default. LK 1 1/2 plays just fine on my main PC & it doesn't have DTS capabilities. It may have been something with your backup.
