    2 much bitrate

I'm curious, when trying to author ********with sonic scenarist I get the following message:

    Error F:\Unfinished\NTSC\********.m2v
Error : Bitrate (9801600) should be equal or less than 9800000.
Warning : Number of SequenceEndCode is 0.

I'm sure its not to hard to lower the bitrate to get scenarist to accept the file, but someone obviously put the movie on the disc with with this bitrate since I have a hardcopy of it here.

How did they do it? and can I do the same thing?
Cause lowering bitrate is against my religion

You didn't need to mention the name of the movie, which might catch the unwanted attention of the authorities. See rule 6:

Try using TMPGEnc DVD Author instead. It will give you an INFORMATION notice about the bitrate - but will allow you to chosse to IGNORE it and continue the processing...

Check that you are not trying to use 16:9 footage in a 4:3 project, or vice versa.

I don't reauthor, but I have a vague recollection of a reauthorer posting somewhere that this can cause Scenarist to report that Sequence End Code error.

            Arky ;o)

I found a solution! I use ReStream to fool scenarist. When I load the m2v file in ReStream, it shows all kinds of info, including bitrate. In this case the bitrate is 9801600. all I do is change it in the info window to 9800000 and press write. I´m not sure wheather this changes the bitrate(unlikely since this takes seconds) or somehow changes the output file's tag so that scenarist accepts the file. Either way, it works
