Help with AC3 conversion

Hi there

I have captured using a analogue camera and the audio is in MONO.

I have Vegas 5.0 and DVD Architect 2.0

I managed to convert my auidio track to AC3 5.1, but it seems that all it has done is send a mono single to 5 speakers. ie no real surround sound.

Can I convert my audio to true surround sound or am I stuck with a pretend AC3 signal.

I hope this makes sense

i dont think u can do that mate. the orginal file must be a ac3 or simalair, not mono, as ull just get the same sound from each speaker, as u said...sasarchiver
