DVD freezing when reversing/forwarding/scene changing

Hi all, i just bought a new LG 8x DVD burner (yay! ) so i am burning some of my best divx movies to DVD. I encode them with TMPGenc, (latest version), and author with IFOedit 0.96, and then burn with nero (NOT through nerovision). The resulting DVD looks and sounds great, but i cannot fast forward, reverse or scene change when i play it on my sony DVD player. Whenever i try to do use any of those functions, the picture just freezes, and after a few seconds i can hear the sound. to play it again, i have to eject it and play from the beginning. its a real nuisance. any suggestions?

Try authoring with "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (Different than "TMPGEnc" and "TMPGEnc Plus") instead of IFOEdit...

hi i have another question...

i want to put 2 divx movies on a single DVD-R. They are both different resolutions, bitrates, etc, so i cannot join them to one avi file, and convert to VOB. How would i go about putting them on a single DVD? do i encode them separately and rename the files? like the first movie VTS 01 and the second VTS 02 or something?

In TMPGEnc DVD Author there is an 'Add DVD' button. I'm not sure that has the same constraints on resolution as chapters does.

Simply load them into "TMPGEnc DVD Author" as Separate Tracks (Click on "Add new track" each time for each DVD)...

ok i encoded the movies that i wanted to author with tmpgenc, but when i add the m2v file to tmpgenc dvd author, it gives me some error... something like "GOP structure too long" and "GOP header not recognized", and says that it is not DVD standard. how do i resolve this?

Did you (as you should) use the DVD template/"wizard"?

no i usually encode manually... would this fix the problem?
i heard something about tmpgenc setting the GOP manually.. so i'll encode the movie again tonight.
btw, i took a look at the ifoedit site, and it said that it did not work correctly with windows xp...
