Importing an xVid avi into Ulead DWS2

I'm trying to author a DVD using avi files that were apparently encoded with xVid. When I load the avi files into Ulead DWS2, the video playback is upside down x.x

I looked around a bunch of forums' threads, and didn't find much of a solution. The video files play fine in Windows Media Player, but are upside down in Ulead, and won't load at all in programs like Pinnacle Studio 9, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Encore DVD, etc.

When I checked one of the files with AVIcodec, under the video line it says "xvid = XVID MPEG-4, VFW not ok". Could this be part of the problem?

    I'm very confused.

    Thanks,

    Brian.

Load the AVI into Gspot and see how it reads. Have you installed the latest Xvid codec?
