    How to use authoring

I am a newbie and just looking for information on authoring.

If I just drag the title (movie) over to the left side of Shrink and nothing else is that OK? Or what should be done?

    Yes

    "what should be done?"

Just hit "Backup". The main purpose of using "Re-author" mode in DVD Shrink is to cut out the extras as well as unwanted audio streams. You will end up with just the "Main" movie title. (no menus). Also, it will provide you with a better compression ratio for the overall project.

Come to find out if I just drag the title over to the left side of Shrink what I will get is the video and audio but also get the script
dialogue captions at the bottom of each scene. How do I remove this dialogue? What else do I need to drag over?

Using Zp, shrink, Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-106D Drive

"How do I remove this dialogue?"

By selecting "Subtitles OFF" from the DVD menu (or from your remote control)...

well all the ppl wanting 2 know what software 2 make a dvd with 2 or more movie's on 1 with menu's, subtitles, extra audio, etc. well i hav done a few movies before like that (blade 1 & blade 2), i used Adobe Encore DVD, but if u r new 2 Authoring then u might aswell turn away, cause its a lengthly and reasonable frustratin process!

if u hav been doin authorin for a while then its quite simple
but i recommend nowt tryin 2 put 2 movies on 1 dvd if u hav a DVD-5 burner cause the size of the disc makes u lack in space which makes u sacrifice quality, features, etc. if u actually do want 2 put 1 or more dvd's on 1 then DVD DL (DVD-9) burners r the way 2 go (as long as u hav them yet in ur country - im in AUS)

if u hav any questions just reply 2 this post

It's all in the amount "Patience" that one is willing to put into the process.
