    CSS on own DVDs???

    Hi

Do anyone of you got a software with which I can encrypt my DVDs (selfmade) with CSS and/or Macrovision.

I heard Ulead DVD PowerTools 2 can do it, but I don't know how. I don't have a DLT Drive.

    THANKS!

You have to pay thousands of dollars of licensing fees to have such protection...

There is NO software by name - there are companies that own the rights to these two types of copy protection...

I want to see the video that a home user wants to encrypt.

Spruce DVD Maestro and Sonic Scenarist will both produce encrypted & macrovision output (afyetr paying a few $1000 for the right) but to a tape for the dvd duplicators to reproduce.

A home DVD Recorder CANNOT burn encrypted movies as the place where the CSS key is to be stored is already ocupied by the -R or +R headers/leadin.

To date, Hollywood has not made an encrypted DVD that cannot be easily backed up, so even if you could do it, its really of little security now a days.

                Thank you for that information.

This "A home DVD Recorder CANNOT burn encrypted movies as the place where the CSS key is to be stored is already ocupied by the -R or +R headers/leadin." is what i wanted to see.
                A good and correct answer.
                Not like "Sophocles"

                THANK YOU!
