(s)VCD to DVD-R

Hi Chaps,
I have 2 vcd mpg files and 2 svcd mpg files which I wish to join and put onto a dvd-r.
Can anyone suggest a method and software to do this?
TMPG Enc only accepts the svcd files for encoding but there are lots of error reports while encoding and when finished there is no audio.
Could they be converted to avi with virtual dub and then converted with dvd2svcd and then finally use dvd shrink to make it fit on 1 dvd-r?
Surely there is an easier way?
Any advice welcome, Thanks in advance.

Resolution Change

Hi Chaps,
I have managed to figure out how to use dvd author and isobuster to extract mpg frames,but the problem now is one of the mpg files resolution is 480 *480 which is unsuitable for dvd.
Can this resolution be changed to a suitable resolution for dvd?
another question, I read somewhere that different vcd and svcd files when combined on one dvd should be in separate vts folders-how do you create these vts folders to import into dvd author? Thanks in advance,

Did you attempt to use DVDLab as "setarip" indicated? It would be much easier than the method you are presently trying to use.

Hi Ormonde,
I would like to try dvd lab as setarip suggested it sounds like very good software but the us dollar pricetag is a bit heavy for me with the poor exchange rate!

There is a 30day fully funtional demo of DVDLab available, worth a try.

You could also try NeroVision Express, part of Nero 6 which also has a demo.
