    Thanks for your hard work.

    I tried TestBed5_16.
The MakeMenu function created beautiful title menus, beautiful root menus and intelligible audio/subtitle menus within 3 minutes without any trouble.
I believe TitleWriter is now the best one of DVD menu creation applications.

It however seems the Advanced mode of HappyFace has the following problems:
    1) When the number of chapters is smaller than 12, there is no display in the Fix Chapter Menus pane.
    2) When the number of chapters is larger than 24, unknown pgc# is sometimes displayed in the Fix Chapter Menus pane.

      Thanks for the great program.
      I'm trying to use TestBed5_16.

I'm surprized at setup menu. I thought I need to input language manually, but it is inputed automatically.

      I noticed about below.
*SetUp Menu button is not shown. I think because there is not bmp of SetUp button. This time buttons is changed from jpg to bmg this time, but SetUp button remains as jpg. I converted jpg of SetUp button to bmp, so it becomes to be shown.
*What I tried has 2 or 3 chapters. All Chapter menu have 2 chapters.

      Edit

      Regards.

        Read forum rule 19

Oh my is your method convoluted -- so convoluted I can't comment on why failure.
On every dvd I've ever done if it plays properly on computer --( And you burned properly/slowly with decent media)-- it will play on the dvd player

You need to do some setup in TW to simplify your life
First Get Imgburn -- I highly recommend it -install

Click View tools >>Click Add and paste the line from notes below dealing with imgburn

This loads imgburn on TW's toolbar

Load a software player into TW tools area (see notes)

        4. i then click on "no" for adding compilation in TW and TW does its thing.
        5. i then take the re-authored files back into shrink after menu is added back in and THIS time i burn to dvd.
I assume on 4 -- You mean No to Start New Compiliation

why oh why -- are you going into transcoder twice

        Heres my Workflow
        1. open compiliation In Tw
        2. Hit transcoding Icon
        3. Hit Yes (Kissy Kissy)
        4. transcode as you wish --Start transcoder processing your selections
        5. You are back in TW
        6. Say no to Start new compiliation
        7. When TW has finished adding menu
        8. click your Software player icon in TW !!!TEST!!!
        9. If it plays properly (Properly Means --movie starts on Play -- And You can select a scene from the middle of the movie)
        10. If it does not play properly -- Close Player Click Happyface See Help HappyFace)
        11. When it Plays Click Imgburn

        Notes:

Here are some links I have taken from my Tools area In TW
Imgburn --Burns compiliation currently in TW

        C:\Program Files\ImgBurn\ImgBurn.exe /MODE ISOBUILD /BUILDMODE DEVICE /DEST "g:" /NOIMAGEDETAILS /WAITFORMEDIA /SRC "@DVDPATH@\VIDEO_TS" /SPEED 4x /CLOSESUCCESS /VOLUMELABEL @DVDVOLUMENAME@ /EJECT YES /START

        Windows Media Player

        "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" "@DVDPATH@/video_ts/video_ts.ifo"

A link to Mplayer (you will probably have installed it in another path)
        C:\MyStuff\Programs\mplayerc.exe "@DVDPATH@" /dvd

MenuShrink --Starts MenuShrink on Current compiliation
        C:\MyStuff\Programs\MenuShrink.exe "@ROOTMENU@"

PgcEdit (Not for the faint of heart and not really for newbies (Very steep learning curve) I rarely use it anymore)

        C:\Program Files\PgcEdit\PgcEdit.exe "@DVDPATH@\VIDEO_TS"

So Make Menu seems stable -- I'll wait a bit for formal release

JinJin_jp -- Oops forgot to drop setup.bmp in testbed
-- The bitmaps load more cleanly then the jpgs (thats why I changed them) fixed in next testbed or release

          Tetsuro_ja --

Was that behavior observed on a New TW Menu generic or an original menu (Happyface is primarily for Original menus)

Tw has a rather complex "What is a Chapter Pgc algorithm" to determine what to load in that window.

It typically ignores Root Menu Pgcs from consideration (I may have to think about this)
-- But Happyface should NEVER be needed to Simplify A TW generated menu -- its already "simple"

          With original menus --
Sometimes you have to load that window by Hand
(If I could reliably determine the chapter menus pgcs and # internal Ch buttons-- I would have eliminated the GUI entirely -- But alas some menus are to strange and eyes are needed)

Uploaded New Testbed --(I believe the last testbed)
Added -- Make Menu -- change # thumbnails per chapter page (4,6,9,12)
BugFix --Make Menu -- Back Button on Middle chapter pages lead to last page -1
BugFix -- Last chapterbutton of last page wasn't a button
Cleaned up Make Menu GUI (Again)

              I'm trying to use TestBed5_17.
              I think it works well.

What I tried has 2 or 3 chapters. All Chapter menu have 2 chapters.
Sorry, it is my mistake. What I tried has 2 chapters (2 or 3 cells). When 3 chapters, chapter menu have 3 buttons of chapter.

              Regards.

Yes -- Menu maker does not operate on cell count but VTS_PGCITI ttn program count (Ive often seen multiple cells in a chapter)

Making things a bit prettier -- the next upload will be a release

                  I tried TestBed5_17.
                  New MakeMenu is perfect!

                      Thanks for the new release.
                      It works fine.

There is button.jpg in Menufiles folder. It was not before. I can't open it by Paint or PhotoEditor. Is it used for something?

Right side of Dvd Command Editor seems to be cutted off.

                      Regards

                        Thanks for the new release.
                        It works fine, too.

Right side of Dvd Command Editor seems to be cutted off.
The size of "Dvd Command Editor" Window seems to be unchangeable according to font size or language as jinjin_jp said. It may be impossible to reproduce this in FallenAngel's environment.

Oh No not again -- Are you refering to the Saved commands window or the whole thing
I have not touched that dialog in months
                          was this in prior versions

So I guess I fixed it -- I'm beginning to get the idea as to the differences between XP at your end and XP at mine.
Although its quite possible its at the Driver level.

Strange though -- I think I'll just remove every instance of that code (I hate not being able to move and resize windows at will) from TW codebase. And leave the windows at dialog specified sizes/locations.

The only code I have to retain will be the Generic Message Window I created
(for Example when a chapter# is doouble clicked in Happyface chapterlist box

Is the Select menu.../ Menu Editor /DVD_text window stable -- (I mean no clipping)
