i just downloaded TW a few days ago but i am sooooo lost. i have been backing up my DVD's for quite some time now with DVDDecrypter and DVD shrink and really havent run into many difficult disks. i just got a 400 disk changer for my birthday and i would love to not have to keep typing in the Title of the disks so this utility seem awesome. however im lost on the 1st step. i downloaded TW and the other downloads that were in the parent directory, created a folder and put everyitng into that. i opened up my DVD using DVD SRhink to get my Video_TS folder. than i open up TW then i open the files. however if i loook at this guide here " http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=49227" my screen has none of that info on the right side. no lettering nor boxes to check.

all i want to be able to do is have a title on the disk so i my changer can see it in its explorer list.

can you tell me if i am suppose to use shrink then use TW and why my screen doesnt match that 1st picture.

or do i need some other editing before i use TW.

i do a Full disk backup in DVDShrink
thanks in advance for any advice you can help with

Titlewriter's Gui has changed -- Just to much on One screen

Titlewriter is a post shrink step --Not before or during -- Finish shrinking then Titlewrite

To change text Click the Icon In the toolbar with Text Menu in it
Highlight the entry and make your changes. Hit Save Changes and you've saved it.

If you want The DVD Text area to come up on initial boot. Check box In Settings menu.

Tw can also add menu's (Generic/Original) back into a compiliation. hats what the other view is for

These options are in latest 2.546beta changelog included

If you want The DVD Text area to come up on initial boot. Check box In Settings menu
            Its in Settings>>Change Settings

second, clicking in titlewriter makes a new entry. but how do i get rid of that entry if i click accidentally
            DBLCLK on entry

to make an option in the settings that disables/enables making backups of the video_ts. it's a great idea, i know. but titlewriter basically never fails and i always use the video ts and delete the original. so, for many people, im sure its a good thing. by default, it can make backups, but i want an override
            On your head be it
            Its in Settings>>Change Settings

one more. im not sure if its a bug or a feature or something im doing wrong, but everytime i make a title, at the end, i get a dialog box that says "Menu already exists." another one that says "Add Menu Failure - Menu not added." Make it go away!
You had Add Menu checked --it was doing what you told it

            Ps
            I want an override
            --
            Make it go away!

I'll be releasing a stable (Non beta version soon -- Still testing/tinkering)

              k2002rahmani
On Menu View (Text > Menu Icon) -- If no Menu present in Compiliation -- Add Menu options shows on main gui.
If menu present Dblclick on entry in Menu View to expand/edit/view PGC commands/buttons/navigation

              For all Users

The tool bar at the top will reflect the first 8 entries in program list
The First of the 8 will trip Transcoder logic (Stack up compiliations for shrinking, TW processing as one step--Designed especially to work in conjunction with DVDShrink)

After a original menu has been readded back into compiliation (Assuming it doesn't play right )
use Happy Face Menu Icon. (Note Generics always play right)

Fill in the areas of form with the misbehaving menu#'s,button#'s using snapshot (Eyeball icon) of menu/vob (It's Strictly visual No PGC navigation or command knowledge required a la PGCEdit)

After editing form --Hit Simplify Menu (at Bottom)
              TW then
              1. Simplifies Intra Menu Navigation
              2. Simplifies Buttons in menu Directly to target menu's or play options
              3. Auto Kill chapter menu Buttons to nowhere (if possible)
              4. Auto Remapp Audio/Subtitle streams to Compiliation Streams (If Audio/subtitle area of form is filled in) and kill (if possible) menu buttons to removed streams
              5. Rewire Dummy Root,Chapter,Subtitle,Audio PGC Menu entries directly to remapped targets -- removed items to First Audio/sub

Essentially it turns an original menu into a "generic". (works especially well with DVDShrink reauthored compiliations >> Movie Only and readd Original Menus)

After Happy Face you can kill Buttons to removed items using the Menu Editor
(And no it will not remove images behind buttons)

              Notes:
              1. TW will try to pre Load Chapter, Play Setup Etc menu #'s in Happy Face form with proper Menu#'s (Read the top of form)
              2. You can Always UNDO a menu add to return to Pre TW (Post Shrink) compiliation
              3. Most Audio/Subtitle menus do not require the Happy Face
              4. So far in my tests about 70-80% of original menu's readded with TW will work without the Happy Face
              5. All have preformed properly after the Happy Face

This is probably the simpilist way to "One Click" Readd original menu's back to DVDShrink reauthored compiliations without any hand tinkering at the command level.

Titlewriter is a utility designed to add DvdText, Menus Original/Generic to compliant dvd files.

                    ------------------------ DvdText ------------------------------------------
In your computer you can "name" the dvd (Volume). Dvd players can't read this info. Titlewriter adds the naming ability to your dvd so that standalone dvd players (That support dvd text) can read and display "name" information.
Dvd jukeboxes (Sony, Pioneer) use this "name" information in their menu systems for on screen navigation between dvd's. Very few commercial dvd's contain this info.
Titlewriter supports "naming" Dvd Volumes, Titlesets, Chapters, Cells with "names". Actress/Actor, Director, Comments "names" can also be added.

                    ------------------------ Menus ---------------------------------------------
Titlewriter contains an option to add a precreated menu to a dvd (without reauthoring) allowing on screen navigation between Titlesets, chapters, audio, subtitles.
Simple Menus for various "types" of dvd's are provided in MenuTemplates folder. Support is also included for creating/adding your own custom menus.
Provided Menu templates use less then 1 Meg of dvd space.
Titlewriter now contains option (Ver 1.71) to readd Original menus to Movie only compiliations.

                    ------------------------ Automation ---------------------------------------
                    Automation of Steps/multiple compiliations
                    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Help files for various steps/options are provided
