PAL & NTSC on one DVD

    Hi Chaps,
I am attempting to put a pal vcd and a ntsc svcd onto one dvd-r.
I have the movies in a format suitable for tmpg dvd author(mpg) but when I get to the create dvd stage I am told that pal and ntsc cannot be put onto the same dvd.
I read somewhere you can do this if the movies are in separate vts folders-does anyone know how to create these folders or another method to combine these movies with dvd author?
    Tks in advance,
    Clanser

If it can work at all, in "TMPGEnc DVD Author", load them as SEPARATE tracks (Select "Add new track" for each one)...

      H i Setarip,
That is how I tried it-thinking seperate tracks will create a vts for each movie but it still did not work.
      regards Dave

Are you getting a "Specific" error message that won't let you proceed? If so, please indicate exactly what the message is.

i found a site that claims to have an editor with dual region on one dvd.
          here's info...
(DVDlab DVD authoring tool... 9 aspects, NTSC and PAL. As input you can use elementary mpv, mpeg, VOB or Panasonic VRO. With PRO version you can have both aspect ratios on one DVD thanks to ...

          found it on google
          hope it helps...

the product is pricy. an alternative is to buy DVD9 and burn to both sides. cheaper solution

                Hi Setarip,
DVD Author tells me it has encountered a fatal error it cannot ignore-and that pal and ntsc cannot be put onto a single disc.
Any ideas? or should I try to convert the ntsc to pal somehow?
                Tks Clanser

if you checked this site you'll see that sw that does dual format single DVD...
it's 200US so I'd go the DVD 9 route to save money
                  hope this helps...

Don´t think that´s possible, comercial DVD´s used to be DVD-10 (double side/single Layer) or DVD-18 (double side/double layer) to enable PAL & NTSC, each side had it´s own particular properties as it is a totally independent DVD project.
