    Titlewriter problem

The movie Amadeus is a two-sided disc. I wanted to compress the movie to fit on one disc. I decrypted both discs to the HDD and then used DVD Shrink to compress both Titles to fit on one disk. I then ran Titlewriter to add a menu so that I could access both Titles on the disc. When I went to burn the files with Nero, I received the error "DVD-Video file reallocation failed" I then tried to open the files with DVD Shrink and it says "Failed to open VIDEO_TS.IFO" I then opened this file with PowerDVD and it is the menu I added.
1.) What am I doing wrong?
2.) Is there a way to access multiple titles on one disc without a menu?
    Thanks for your help!

    A few Questions
--What Template (I assume 2 Movies)
--Did You leave room for the menu template during shrink
--I'm assuming you used reauthor --dragging movie titlesets into editor pane and not trying to crush Both dvd's with original menus onto one disc
--Is the Video_ts.ifo file size exactly the same as the Video_ts.bup

I'll need a bit more info -- Zip up the Video_ts.ifo and post here then (I hope you used UNDO) -- Run titlewriter and Undo changes -- Check if Powerdvd/Shrink opens/plays cleanly.

Your ? Access multiple titles -- Without menu -- You would need a Title jump button on remote, Or playing through should do it. Elegance requires a menu.

I used template 4. I increased the compression in DVD Shrink to compensate for the space occupied by the menu. I used reauthor to select the main video files only. I already deleted the fileset but the compilation played fine with PowerDVD.

Hmm -- Sounds like you did everything right - though I would have used the 2 movie menu.
Nero usually kicks that error if a file is missing, Or video_ts.ifo and bup don't match, or the compilation filesizes are not an exact multiple of 2Kb. You said you deleted the compilation -- Do you still have any files on harddrive? I need to see the video_ts.ifo after titlewriting to track down the cause.
Typically I just reduce target size in Shrink preferences by about a Meg to make room for the menu.

No. I ended up deleting all the files and burning to two discs. Perhaps it was just a fluke. The important thing is that I am completing the process correctly.
