Ive been using nero vision express 3 to create dvd from downloaded divx xvid files.Some turn out fine butothers seem to jerk a bit as though there are missing frames in the resulting dvd. Also sometimes (more often than not) i get a message you data contains more ntsc than pal , it then gives me a choice as to burn to either format. I libe in the uk woch should i choose or does it make any difference. I was under the opinion that pal would be the correct choice but obviosly nero doesnt agree with me.

Any help anyone can give me with these problems would be greatfully appreciated

Hard to believe that an XviD or DivX video would contain BOTH PAL and NTSC format data - unless, of course, whoever created the video that you downloaded wanted to make certain that you couldn't successfully convert it to DVD.

When downloading the efforts of other people, sometimes you get what you pay for...

i believe he is trying to put several (mixed regions) files onto dvd with nero...

nero doesn't agree with you because converting from one region format to another supposedly takes more time. If there is more ntsc material than pal, then it would take less time to convert the pal to ntsc instead of converting all ntsc to pal. if you have a dvd player that supports both, then it doesn't really matter which you choose.

my suggestion: use "tmpgenc" to encode to dvd instead of nero. it is much better quality.
