    TMPGenc DVD Authoring

First of all I am a rookie -

I have many VRO files on my hard drive that I have imported from my Hitachi camera. I have used succesfully used TMPGEnc Author to auther and burn DVDs for many of my VRO files.

However all of my sport related videos ( I change the setting on the camera for sports action) give me an error when I get to the create output section. The error is "Read error occurred at address 00522c8d of module TMPGEncDVDAuthor.exe with 00000150.

So I purchase TMPGEnc 3.0 express with the thought that this may get me passed the error. ( not sure exactly what I was trying to do here) but I was able to import the movie using the DVD source wizard. However when I get to the encode process about 4% of the way through the process I get another error that will not allow me to continue.

I am not sure if this is related to the fact I have the camera on sports setting or not.

Any thoughts on what I can do? I have at least 20 of my son's football games on the harddrive that I would like to burn to a dvd.

    Thank you

I think I'd be tempted to try looking at your 'good' files and a 'sports' file in VirtualDubMod's 'File Information' to see what the difference is.
My VDubMod here doesn't show a VRO but if you have the correct codecs it may well do on yours.

Thanks for the reply - I am not familiar with VirtualDubMod software. What is the functionality of this program? I

s it possible that my problem is related to the camera settings for sport activities set to capture faster images and this speed or rate is needs to be changed when I create my output from the Authoring software?

VirtualDubMod is a popular little freeware tool for converting video and audio streams. You're spot on with what I thought the problem may be. Comparing the 'file info' panes for good and bad files I hope may reveal the culprit.

          1) Neither VirtualDub nor any of its modified versions can process VRO files...

          2) I'd suggest you contact the Pegasys website (publishers of "TMPGEnc DVD Author" and describe your situation, since the software's Help files make no mention of distinctions between different "types" of VRO files...

Thanks - I have contacted their support department - no response yet. Again the only thing different that I am aware of is that my camera setting was set to "sports action" when I was filming these games.

Ah, I was being optimistic there - came across a sound app the other day I installed at home and work and it looked up installed codecs and added them into the 'open' menu.
No use here but I thought I'd just explain my optimism
