    removin subtitles

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I'm new so here goes. Some of the DVD's I've backed up using DVD shrink (in re-author mode) display the subtitles automatically when I play them back. What do I need to set to stop this from happening?

Rather than trying to figure out how to stop this from happening, when the DVD's menu is onscreen, simply select "Settings" or "Languages" and select "Subtitles" "Off"...

(As an alternative, use the "Language" or "Subtitle" button on your remote control to turn off the subtitles)

In re-author mode you don't get to keep the titles or menus to turn off when you play the DVD. That's why I would like to know how to keep them from being recorded to the DVD in the first place.

        1) As an alternative, use the "Language" or "Subtitle" button on your remote control to turn off the subtitles

        2) Active menu after re-authoring in DVD Shrink

There is a a menu in reauthor mode of Shrink. When you drag the title, right mouse click on the title. Select "Set Default Streams".

There is a option called hide subpicture. This was necessary as a few DVD's came up with the subtitles automatically when using reauthor. It isn't a problem with shrink as such but how the commerical disc was authored.

More details below. It actually shows how to force subtitles but the option to hide them are shown as well.
