So i have found my first multiangle DVD to backup, it is Star Wars Phantom Menace. According to DVD Shrink this film has 3 angles (i am in re-author mode). I know i cannot keep more than one if i am to burn on one disk. The question is which angle do you choose? Since i don't have a DVD player (besides my computer one) i am assuming that you could switch between angles when playing this disk in your home DVD player. Is there a choice (like the first title) that most people choose?
multiangle, which do you choose?

I wish i could use the preview window. I wonder if the DVD will not allow it in this case. I can only play it with the InterActual Player (it overides PowerDVD) that comes with the DVD. Maybe if i rip the files to my hard drive first with DVD Decrypter?Comment

Why can't you use the preview window?
Ripping first with another program (Such as DVD Decrypter) should have no bearing on why you can't use the video preview window built in to DVD Shrink.
Take a look at this thread, as it might pertain to your situation and may be a solution for you to get back the preview window. - http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=44978Comment

Actually vaughn, most of the VOB and Cell IDs will be the same and only a few cells will be different. You may be able to keep the lot, but you need to know a bit about seamless branching. This isn't really a DVD Shrink thing. Get IfoEdit (www.ifoedit.com).

Thank you for the tip, i had to change my direct x video renderer in Shrink from vmr-9 to vmr-7, now my preview is working.

Thank you for the title one information, that was the one i was going to choose since it seemed to be the default.

I have no idea what seamless branching is and how this relates to which angle you are deciding to keep when backing up a DVD. However i am reading this info edit page to try and figure out if it has any pertinent info.Comment

IfoEdit has angle processing under its Vob Extras button. You can either keep them all or pick one to retain. It's a bit intricate, but it works.
