How to encode avi todvd with subs streams?

Hello mello!! This is my 1° one...I´ve already get avi to mpeg2(avi to vcd svcd dvd by Zealot) but I don't know how to attach the susbtitles in spanish & portugues (I have them)like do dvd's, or post one in like vcd(divx), I do not know what to do!!!help!!!
