    Trouble with audio while Authoring....

I keep getting an error message each time I try to add my mpeg file. Says the mpeg needs to have AC3, Mpeg1 audio or Linear PCM. I am using Tmpge DVD author.

I should add that I was using TMPGE Enc. to convert a Divx file to Mpeg. the file extended itself time wise and did not encode the audio. I was forced to make an mp3 of the audio and multiplex it to the edited video file. i thought that would do the trick. Apparently not. Can anyone recommend how to fix the audio???

    thanks

    Quoted by setarip:

    1) Load the ORIGINAL .AVI video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

" I was forced to make an mp3 of the audio and multiplex it to the edited video file."

Instead, you should have first loaded the .MP3 audio file into "TMPGEnc" and saved it as an ".MP2" audiostream - and THEN multiplexed the ".MP2" audiostream with the ".M2V" videostream or or ".MPG" video-only file that you created...

Thanks for all the help. I converted the mp3 to mp2 using Tmpge and then re multiplexed. Worked great.
