IFO files do not contain any SUP data. You probably need add SUP file to existing VOB file ? Describe more what you need.

I have a .vob and .ifo, and downloaded subtitles in .srt format which I converted to .sup.

how do I add the subtitles such that I can view the subtitles when I run the .vob? (or open the folder with vob/ifo using a program like powerdvd)

Best guess - and please correct me if i'm wrong.

You would first have to Demux the video and audio of the vob files (Vobedit deos this well)

Then you could use IFOEdit to rebuild the DVD using the demuxed Audio and Video files, and include the subtitle file. You can even use IFOEdit to get the colours matched correctly.

I am sure I have seen a guide around here (or Doom9 or Video-help).

Don't forget - google is your friend

        **EDIT**
        Found this guide :

Looks perfect, although if you want menues then you can use DVD-LAb or TMPG DVD Author

google is my best friend, but google was being too helpful at the time i gave me guides to rip and rebuild a dvd all over again, instead of working with just the vob and sup files

thanks for the idea, i'll give it a shot.
