Here is my situation: I have two dvd's of the same movie( two complete diffrent versions), one dvd (first released) is the same as the movie was released on vhs but converted to DVD format, with subtitles pasted as video. This one is mising a sections of the movie. Now, the second DVD is a more modern release, this one contains the missing part( part lacking in the first versions), but it also has unwanted sound effects which make speech unable to hear at certain parts, more video effects giving the movie a more corny look, and the subtitles are as in DVD format (not pasted onto the video). I would like to cut out the video from their more modern release, and have it pasted into their older version. But thre is also a color diffrence.
I found a place where the change in color isnt much noticeable between the two, but at tht same place the audio in the more modern release disturbs the movie. Here is what I want to do, I want to take out the video from the first DVD and the second DVD, paste in the missing part (video and audio) from the second dvd to the first one. And at parts which have those annoying sound fx, i would like to take the audio from the first release and paste it in.
I demuxed the vobs with vobedit from both dvd's, and tried to edit vegas, finding out that vegas would not open the files.
Any suggestions???, if this was a little confusing, please do not hestitate to point out the confusing parts, I will be glad to clarify.
