Looking for info on writing an authoring program

Hi Everybody,

Does anyone has information (a link would be perfect) on how to write a DVD authoring program? I've written a subtitling program, which can create subtitles 'on the fly', and then it can export them in the SUP format. So, next step should be to include those *.sup files in a DVD project. But so far I could not find how to do that. Can anybody help?
