This is sort of an off-handed update to the project that was started under "TMPGEnc Bitrate Problem".......well...............more problems.
It seems that after much adjusting, putzing, cursing and swearing, I finally get a PAL > NTSC package that works, so I though. it seems to be a perfect conversion, it's crystal clear, if I jump to various portions of the film at random it's still perfect and audio is in sync (the files are being played as test run through Power DVD off the HD in thier ready to burn VOB set) However, when burned (not with Nero and explain that in a sec) I get the jaggies and twiches and audio eventually runs out of sync with one player, and I get a disk error with another.
This is where the wildcard comes in. I setup, finally, a second hardrive for video editing due to the file size limits of Win98 (couldn't do this under 98) ALL of the software is fresh install, ALL the same tools I use a dozen times or more with flawless results. The ONLY difference is the OS (Win2k), all the editing software performs without a glitch, except when it comes time to burn, Nero 6 Ultra hangs, more like freezes, constantly, sometimes lead-in, sometimes half way through and I can't even get the OS to release it in task manager , I have to do a reset. Anyone have any clue at all to whats going on???? And is the Audio sync/Video twitch problem related to the bad burn??? Sorry for the long post.
