keep 2 dvd on single DL DVD

i want to make one single DL disk out of 2 seperate dvd's, keeping the actual menus and stuff.
if not possible then i would like not to re-encode the video but would make new menus if required. any help welcome.

If the two DVD's are single layer then you just need DVDRemake Pro. This software can put merge two DVD's onto one DVD (with menus). Then burn the files the software makes to a DL disc. The software is not free but you won't find a easy solution that is freeware.

There is a demo but doesn't allow saving of files.

I don't know how successful it will be regarding the layer change. It would be easier to do a single layer DVD and use Shrink to compress it.

It has changed in v3. Demo version of DvdReMake v3 does alow export. Since it is a demo there is a limitation to export: all chapters will be cut at 15 seconds.

It's only to test the software. Once the results are seen, the software can be bought to export the whole disc. It is better than v2 which didn't have a export or save function.

Don't get me wrong Nic - I am a great fan of dimad's work! But these days, most software gives a fully functional trial for say 30 days or x uses.

However, I acknowledge that some don't and it is their authors' prerogative not to do so.

well i reauther whole dvd , with new menu's and all, good job DVD Workshop only prob im having problems playing the disk.
few of the chapters wont play well on my sony / philips dvd players.
say chap 1 - 4 plays then chap 5 stucks completly on sony and plays few secs with glitches on philips. if i change the chap to 6 it works again.
iv had 2 dvds that i reauther, so last chap of one disk dont run properly and chap 5 and last chaps of other wont play.

authered files on pc runs fine. so did the burned dvd .
did my burning DL disk at 6x making these problems.......?
