Takes a long time for player to read dvd

I burn with nero and it takes about one minute for the movie to start.
I'm using Verbatim + R media...Anyone have the same problem ???

In this "one minute" it takes to start, what does it do during that one minute? Just a black screen? What?

I use a jvc player and when i load disk the screen says reading disk,Then it goes to main menu.It usually takes about 10 seconds to read,But some of my recent burns it's taking a minute to get to the menu..My screen just display's reading disk...

That sounds as more of problem with the DVD player itself, not the disc. Try to play them in other DVD players and see if they act the same way.

Go here, http://www.videohelp.com/ and check the compatability of your dvd media and player. Some players have problems with different dvd media.

I've been using dvd+ for a while now..

Your welcome. Any time I start to buy new hardware I go to that websight and check the compatability between media & hardware. Especialy standalone players. You could end up with alot of movies that you couldn't play.

lownox is right, my dvd player behaves the same with media it is not compatible with (some read, some take a while, some don't read at all).

use quality , compatible media that is well liked by your player...
