I make home movies, and originally had them all recorded on VHS tapes, from a digital camera. I wanted to put them in my computer via DVD-RAM (on my Panasonic DVD Recorder), and that was simple enough. Then I went to use the DVD-RAM in my computer using TMPGEnc DVD Author, but I got an error message:
The program is a mix of different video formats.
The video compression format (MPEG-1 and MPEG-2), resolution, and
the aspect ratio (4:3 and 16:9) need to be the same within the program.
At least I have isolated the problem! At some point during the recording onto the VHS tape, the three things in the error message got changed. I have no clue how this happened. I think it occured during an incident when I almost recorded a TV show onto the tape. I used the same camera throughout the entire movie. Would there be a way to "render" all of these problems?
