IFO Edit problem

Hi everyone,

I am having a problem with IfoEdit. Every time I create IFO's for a set of VOB files, the files all create fine.

After that, I open them up in Shrink to compile them into an image to burn onto a DVD...But dvd Shrink always gives me an error with one of the VOB files (usually the last one, VTS_01_05.VOB)



I have tried re-making the IFOs many times, and I have re-encoded the VOBs with different programs then re-made the IFOs from the new VOBs, and still I get an error.

Any help appreciated.

Plus you hardly need DVD Shrink to make an image. Use image tools classic from www.coujo.de or easier still, PgcEdit (see my sig).

thanks, that will definatley come in handy. I use Shrink because I also need to compress the vobs...forgot to mention that.

EDIT: O yeah, the IfoEdit ifo's now work. Thanks for the help

Glad to see it working. I have never been a fan of the author feature in IfoEdit but the second time around (after mock stripping) it does seem to correct all the pointers.

Another question...

What other programs can recombinne the subtitle, video and auidio files after demuxing them aside from IfoEdit? IfoEdit keeps freezing when it finishes and I don't know that it is done properly!!

I use muxman - lotsa other ppl do too. It is a great muxer. Get it from mpucoder's site (click on the link in my sig).

Sometimes just correcting the sectors after creating new IFOs might do the trick. I mentioned about this here to Derrow, IfoEdit's author.

yeah...correcting it works sometimes, but now usually I have to Mock Strip it.

Doesn't seem that it and other IfoEdit probs will be fixed tho, 2COOL. Derrow seems to have dropped off the face of the earth.

that stinks...seems like such a great progrem. Same goes for vobEdit?

Yup. Be careful with VOBedit - any changes you make are changed right there and then, no warning, no undos.
