Editing using Sonic MyDVD Software

Hi,

I cut out the commercials in a movie using Sonic MyDVD 5.2 and before editing the movie was 3.2 Gb then after I cut out the commercials, the project said that it was -400Mb and the burn button was grayed out. That doesn't make any sense to me because I should have been decreasing the size of the project not increasing the size of it. What's wrong?? Anuone else use this software for editing??
