    Joining a Flipper

Now I've searched out porbably most of the useful info on this. I've been following the instructions on the VOBedit website(http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/joinclip.html#joindbl)

My question pertains to this part:

"We want to get it to one side. First you need the check out, which is the last VOB-ID on side A.
So load VTS_01_4.VOB of side A into VobEdit, and scroll down to the last Navigation Pack. The last VOB-ID in that case is VOB-ID Nr: 2
Okay, so the file VTS_01_1.VOB of side B must start with VOB-ID: 3"

I've opened the VOB file on the first side of Gangs of NY. I've found the last Navigation pack, and double clicked to view the files' data in the left panel, but I don't see where the VOB-ID is. VTS_01_4.VOB is the last file on the disk but I do not see any ID's other than "VOB: 1".

    I appreciate the help.

If the last Nav pack shows "VOB: 1" then that is the last VOB-ID.

If you want to verify it, I'd suggest opening the file in VobBlanker (get the Brand NEW Version 2.0.1.0), the structure and layout is much easier to understand there.

Open the ripped DVD, in the top window select the main movie VTS (VTS_01 in your case), the bottom window shows the PGC's in that VTS. Click on the big one (has the most # of Cells, and longest Duration) then press the "Cells" button. A window displaying the Cell layout will open, look at the value under VID (VOB ID) in your case they are probably all VID =1, there you can also see the CID (Cell ID), and you can preview the cells etc. If you are re-authoring you will come to love VobBlanker.

    hope this helps
