Chapter adding DVD backup app

I have an instructional DVD that has really bad chapter placements (just shoved in every 20 mins). It's really frustrating to manually search for the right spot and then have to do the same to get back to the right place. Does anybody know of an easy to use app that will let me backup my DVD and let me insert my own chapters (preferably freeware)?

You could try TMPGEnc DVD Author or my personal favourite is DVD Remake Pro (see my sig). Both of these are commercial progs.

A free ware alternative would be to demux the DVD (use PgcDemux from the VobBlanker site) and remux with muxman (see my sig) using a celltimes.txt file.
